"MALLI IM - MY NOSTALGY"
Albanian singer Lirio Nushi just has finished the shooting of his
video clip “Malli im-MY Nostalgy”. It was Italian-Albanian cooperation and
ancient city of Berat was picked for shooting this video because of its
beautiful medieval castle. Michele Pero a journalist for Italian paper
“Corriere della Sera“, who witnessed the preparations of the video clip
promised to help to promote Albanian ethnic music in the Italian media and
Italian public. Several people of the personnel of the diplomatic body and
tens of foreign tourists who were visiting the ancient castle were the first
spectators of this wonderful video. All the preparations were realized with
the sophisticated advanced technology in HD 2K.This video has promises to
become very popular not only in Albania itself, but also abroad, where it is
going to present Albanian mucis with dignity. Several foreign directors and
famous actors, surprised by Albanian ethnic theme and its beautiful
costumes, have express their interest to Lirio to visit Albania in a near
future offering a possible collaboration. As always Lirio with his
enthusiasm and far sightness will surprise us with his new CD titled :”Malli
im-My nostalgy” .This video clip of its own kind is excepted to get a warm
reception among people.The images from Albanian ancient history full with
glory are mixed with an unique musical sound. A different and unique sound

The songs on the
"ARBERESHE SONGS CD"
are derived from the musical tradition of the Arberesh of Southern Italy. Some of these songs have reached us after having embarked on a historical journey spanning four hundred years. The Arberesh are Arbanites (Albanians)
which, around the time of 1400, fled Arberia (known as Albania today) and the Peloponnese in order to escape the clutches of the Turkish conquerors.The songs tell stories of romance, love and those left behind. The people who came together in Southern Italy, traversing the annals of history, have left an indelible mark there with their distinct presence, retaining but also exchanging their language, their myths and their tradition. This heritage, which comprises a significant part of Mediterranean culture, comes from the past and is rejuvenated by its encounter with time, and in
its renewed form
enriches our present.
